More detail on this person: ARMSTRONG, CURTIS, LT. Col., U.S. Army Retired, passed away May 11, 2008. He was born in Peach County, Georgia, on December 3, 1940 to the late Arlie and Charlie Armstrong. The family moved to South Dade County during his early childhood. He graduated from the beloved Mays High School in Goulds, Florida in 1958 after excelling in Academics as well as football and track. After graduating from Tennessee State University of Nashville, he was accepted in the Army Officer Candidate School and graduated with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He served 20 years in the Army including two (2) tours of duty in Vietnam. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Marie, family, friends, teammates and fraternity brothers of Omega Psi Phi. He is survived by his wife Marie, daughters, Deborah (Ronald), and Farah, two brothers and sisters, two granddaughters and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. The beloved Mays High School Alumni Association has established a scholarship fund in his name.
