More detail on this person: Richard Grant SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Richard Charles "Dick" Grant, 73, formerly of Ringgold, Ga., died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Spartanburg. A native of Ringgold, he retired from the U.S. Army with 30 years of service. During his military career, Mr. Grant received many decorations, including the Bronze Star. He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by his parents, Foster and Rebecca Hughes Grant. Survivors include his wife, Leone Aurich Grant; son, Charles Grant, Chattanooga; daughter, Nora Goins, Ringgold; brother, Clyde Grant, Chattanooga; three sisters, Beatrice Wilson and Roxie Jones, both of Ringgold, and Velma Crowe, Winder, Ga.; stepdaughter, Kay Leone Quitko; stepson, Jay Klose, both of Newport News, Va.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, Rossville.
