'Copter Trainee Dies in Crash MINERAL WELLS, Nov. 11 - An Army helicopter crashed into a thicket Wednesday night at the Ft. Wolters military reservation, killing 2nd Lt. Michael A. Galaida of Raritan, N.J. The 23 year-old was on a training flight. Survivors include his father, Michael Andrew Galaida of Raritan and his mother, Rose S. Galaida of Manville, N.J. The OH23D Hiller training helicopter went down one mile north of a Nike Hercules missile site. It was the first training fatality in more than two years at the fort
