McNamee, Sr., 60, of Chadds Ford, formerly of Essington, Tinicum Township, died Dec. 19 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. McNamee worked for Eagle Global Logistics and was formerly employed by Emery Worldwide. He was a Teamster for 28 years. Mr. McNamee served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot and received two Purple Hearts. He was the son of the late Hugh and Loretta McNamee and the brother of the late Hugh McNamee. Survivors: Son, James R. McNamee, Jr., of Philadelphia; daughter, Gail McNamee of Drexel Hill; stepsons, Mark Murphy of Kennett Square and Scot Murphy of Philadelphia; fiancée, Marie Longen of Chadds Ford; brother, Joseph McNamee of Philadelphia; sisters, Loretta Mucci and Delores Lewandowski, both of Philadelphia; five grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mass: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills. Visitation: 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple.
