He was born Nov. 4, 1944, in Boise, Idaho, to Loren "Jay" Overlander of Yuma, Ariz. and the late Lila M. Crawford Overlander. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Certified Public Accountant. Survivors: wife, Mary Ann Nelson Overlander of Goliad; daughters, Shannon Overlander of Goliad, and Leigh Ann Salge of Skidmore; sister, Valerye Mendy of Idaho; and one grandchild. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Colonial Funeral Home, C.B. Suggs officiating. Colonial Funeral Home, Goliad, 361-645-3216. Memorials: American Cancer Society or Goliad Pet Adoption.
