Additional information about this casualty:
The American SOG soldier called this pilot "Mustachio" because of his finely trimmed mustache. He was highly respected by the SOG soldiers because neither impossible ground fire nor unflyable weather stopped him. Dozen of SOG men survived purely because "can't" was not in his vocabulary. "He was absolutely fearless!" said one American SOG officer.
