Jackie Sanford enlisted in the United States Marine Corps when he was 14 years old and completed a three year tour, (Was known to be the youngest man to ever enlist in the Corps). Served in China with Marine Air Group and was evacuated out of Tsingtao in 1949 when the Communists took over the country.
