War Story:
CPT Kane was shot in the head while on the ground making a patient pickup. He was flown to the 85th medivac hospital at Qui Nhon by the co-pilot who then flew the helicopter to the MED helipad. From: 15th MED Duty Officer's Log. 10/12/1965
Editor's Note: Added KIA CPT Kane and changed event date from 10/17/1965 to 10/12/1965 because this helicopter tail number is listed in Duty Officer's Log for CPT Kane being killed on 10/12/1965 and the helicopter record shows one KIA with no known KIAs on the 17th.
