War Story:
The LZ location was YD375225. C Co 5/7 CAV member Bob Weiss confirms that the helicopter came to rest within 100 meters west of the LZ, making the crash site YD374225. Weiss and other unit members were first on the scene and removed the only survivor, the wounded door gunner. They fabricated a stretcher but unfortunately the door gunner died before he could be medevaced.
