Description: During Operation COCOA BEACH north of Lai Khe, a VC regiment attacked the 2/28th Inf in the Lo Ke Rubber Plantation. These 1st Inf Div units broke the attack and with reinforcements from the 1/16th Inf and support from the 2/33rd Arty pursued the VC and killed 199. LT Robert Hibbs of B/2/28th Inf was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor - the first 1st Inf Div member to receive this award.
