118 AHC was a US Army unit
Primary service involved, US Army
South Vietnam
Location, Bien Hoa
Description: The following is an edited version of an article titled "Catfish Run For Copters."
Bien Hoa (IO) - The whole assignment was a bit fishy. WO Harold R. Nelson of Behayres, Pa., and WO Eugene G. Spivey of Abilene, Tex., both of the 118th AHC, found themselves airlifting 300 catfish in 25-gallon drums to a Special Forces camp about 60 miles northeast of Saigon. It turned out that the Special Forces troops were stocking a ready food supply for the people who worked in their camp.
