1 INF DIV was a US Army unit
South Vietnam
Description: Most of the 2/2th Inf, 1st Inf Div with some ARVN and supporting by gunships, arty and air killed 178 enemy during this battle. On the first day, the 2/2th tackled an NVA anti-aircraft company. The 141st NVA Rgmt initiated the battle on the second and third days.
